2 large apples
1/2 cups walnuts (or other nuts)
5 eggs, separated (may also be made without separating eggs)
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon lemon rind
1/2 teaspoon salt
1. Pare, core and slice apples.
2. Line bottom of greased pan with apples.
3. Beat yolks until light and frothy.
4. Add honey, nuts, and salt.
5. Add lemon juice and rind.
6. Fold in egg whites.
7. Pour over apples.
8. Bake for 30 minutes in hot oven (I assume at least 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) ).
