caller: I have a thirteen year old son who was just diagnosed yesterday with Crohn's disease . . .

dr. hoffman: Crohn's disease . . . boy, I've seen that so often in young kids and teenagers. . . the main tool in my opion is the SCD, or the Specific Carbohydrate Diet developed by Elaine Gottschall. It's a diet I've been using for nearly 20 years in the treatment of Crohn's disease.
