Hello everyone!
The next meeting of the SCD Vancouver Support Group will take place this Saturday, June 9, 2007 from 3-5pm at the Firehall Branch of the Vancouver Public Library at 1455 West 10th Ave. 1/2 block east of Granville St. in Vancouver, BC, near the #98, #99 and most suburban routes (http://www.vpl.ca/branches/Firehall/home.html). There is no charge. There is free underground parking behind the library, or meter parking on the street. Come up the stairs and the meeting room is at the top on your left.
The meetings take place on the second Saturday of every month (changed from the first Saturday) and are open to anyone already following the SCD (Specific Carbohydrate Diet), anyone interested in learning how to start the diet, or anyone supporting someone following the diet. Children are welcome.
We'll share ideas about how we manage the diet, tricks and tips, struggles we're facing or we've overcome, and where to buy supplies in and around Vancouver (for example did you know that Lucy's Kitchen Shop http://lucyskitchenshop.com is located just across the border in Bellingham)
