They are not.  The  Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD), which is outlined in the book, Breaking the Vicious Cycle, reflects years of extensive research by scientist Elaine Gottschall who had no association with and did not approve advice offered through SCD Lifestyle.  The only official website for the SCD is www.breakingthevicious.info.
